Devotees Celebrate Holi in Grand Rangotsav at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir

Ayodhya, March 25: The holy city of Ayodhya witnessed vibrant Holi celebrations this year as devotees marked the festival with Rangotsav at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.

“Rangotsav at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir,” the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra announced on Monday. This marked the first Holi celebration at the temple after its grand opening in January 2024.

The festivities commenced on Rangbhari Ekadashi with the coloring of the deity at the Hanumangarhi temple. On Holi itself, devotees thronged the Ram Mandir for darshan of Ram Lalla. The temple grounds reverberated with devotional songs and the joyful spirit of Holi as devotees playfully smeared colors on each other.

The festival, traditionally begins with the bonfire ritual of Holika Dahan, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Alongside the vibrant colors and revelry, people share traditional sweets, fostering a sense of togetherness and love. The entire country truly embraces the joyous spirit of Holi.
