Explosion Near Israel Embassy in Delhi; Police Finds Letter Addressed to Ambassador

New Delhi, Dec 26: The Delhi Police received a call reporting a blast near the Israeli embassy this evening. A team of police, including the dog squad, crime team, and bomb disposal squad, quickly arrived at the scene.

Forensic experts also joined them later.

The police discovered a letter addressed to the Israeli Ambassador and a flag wrapped with the letter at an empty plot of land near the embassy.

The letter has been taken into custody by the police.

After conducting a thorough search of the area, the teams collected evidence and sent it for forensic examination.

In a video statement, Israel’s deputy envoy Ohad Nakash Kaynar confirmed that an explosion had occurred near the Israel embassy but assured that all embassy workers, diplomats, and security teams were safe and cooperating with local Delhi security.

The police have heightened security at the Chabad House in central Delhi’s Paharganj area and are monitoring the area through CCTV cameras.
