Navratri 2023 Day 5: The fifth day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Skandmata, the fifth form of Maa Durga. The name “Skandmata” means the mother of Skanda or Lord Kartikeya.

Maa Skandmata is depicted with four arms, holding a lotus and a bell in her right hands and a small Skanda (Lord Kartikeya) in her lap. She represents the nurturing and protective aspect of the Goddess.

Navratri 2023 Day 5 Shubh Muhurt:

According to the Vedic Panchang, the fifth day of Shardiya Navratri will be the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the Ashwin month. Panchami Tithi will start from 01:12 am on 19th October and will end at 12:31 am on 20th October.

Devotees will offer prayers to Maa Skandmata on October 19, 2023.
