SLIIT Sri Lanka Offers Undergraduate Scholarships to South Asian Students

New Delhi, February 9, 2024- The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), through the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka, has announced undergraduate scholarship opportunities for students from South Asian countries.

As per an official release, interested and eligible candidates can access detailed information regarding entry requirements, application procedures, and forms on the SLIIT official website. Applications must be submitted through the High Commissions/Embassies of Sri Lanka by February 29, 2024. The digital application form can be found at https://forms.office.com/r/kkLqr5TvfK.

A statement from the Ministry of Education clarified that the selection process for these scholarships is solely conducted by SLIIT, Sri Lanka. The Government of India has no involvement in the nomination or selection of candidates. The announcement aims to reach a wider audience for dissemination purposes.

Established in 1999, SLIIT holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with prestigious organizations such as the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and the International Association of Universities (IAU). Notably, it is the first Sri Lankan institute accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK.

In the QS Asia University rankings 2023, SLIIT Sri Lanka secured a position within the top 750 higher education institutions in Asia, distinguishing itself as one of the leading universities in Sri Lanka. With a focus on producing highly employable graduates across various industries, SLIIT boasts an impressive student body of over 25,000 individuals and a network of more than 30,000 alumni, achieving an outstanding 96% employment rate.
