Varanasi Airport on Alert After Khalistani Leader Threatens to Blow Up Air India Plane

Varanasi, Nov 07: After a threat from Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, security measures have been intensified at all airports including Varanasi.

On Monday, a security meeting was held in the conference hall of the airport.

The meeting was attended by several important individuals including CISF Senior Commandant Ajay Kumar, Airport Director Puneet Gupta, officials from airlines, and security agencies like IB, LIU, and local police.

CISF Senior Commandant Ajay Kumar stated that an alert has been issued at the airport until November 20, after the threatening video from the Khalistani leader went viral.

Special attention is being given to surveillance of areas both inside and outside the terminal building, including parking lots.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the Khalistani leader, has released a video in which he threatens to detonate an Air India plane on November 19.
