Volvo Car India Reports 40% Growth in Retail Sales in Jan-Sep Period

New Delhi, Oct 20. Volvo Car India announced on Friday that its retail sales have increased by 40% in the period of January to September this year compared to the same period last year.

The company sold 1,751 units during this time, compared to 1,252 units in the previous year.

The growth in sales was mainly driven by the XC60, which accounted for 35% of the total sales volume.

Additionally, the locally assembled all-electric XC40 Recharge performed well, with 419 units sold, making up 24% of the total sales volume. E

lectric vehicle sales accounted for 27% of the total sales during this period.

Volvo Car India’s Managing Director, Jyoti Malhotra, said that this success reflects customer confidence and their commitment to providing premium and sustainable vehicles to the Indian market.

Volvo Cars entered the Indian market in 2007 and currently operates through 25 dealerships across the country.
